New Swimmer Evaluations & Group Placement

Lake Erie Silver Dolphins (LESD) offers a comprehensive aquatics program designed to support swimmers from their very first lesson through high-performance competition.

Through our two divisions—the LESD Swim Team and the Silver Dolphins Swim Academy (SDSA)—we meet swimmers where they are, provide age-appropriate instruction and coaching, and help them develop at every stage of their swimming journey.

Our programs include:

  • LESD Swim Team – A competitive USA Swimming program for athletes seeking year-round training and competition.
  • Silver Dolphins Swim Academy (SDSA) – Learn-to-swim, water safety, stroke development, and instructional programs for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.

The 2026–2027 season begins on August 24, 2026.

New swimmers interested in joining either the LESD Swim Team or Silver Dolphins Swim Academy are asked to complete an evaluation. This allows our coaching staff to assess each swimmer's current skills, experience, and goals so we can recommend the program that best supports their development while providing the greatest opportunity for success and enjoyment.

To accommodate families, we will be hosting several Open Evaluation Sessions at Hawken Upper School. Simply select the date that works best for your family. You may arrive at any time during the scheduled evaluation window, and a member of our coaching staff will evaluate your swimmer, discuss program recommendations, and answer any questions you may have.

Open Evaluation Dates

  • Saturday, August 29: 12:00–1:00 PM
